Bendigo and Adelaide Financial institution finds its subsequent CISO – Safety – Monetary Companies
Bendigo and Adelaide Financial institution has appointed ANZ’s Gajan Ananthapavan as its new chief data safety officer.
Ananthapavan spent the previous 4 years as ANZ’s know-how space lead for safety operations, intelligence and affect.
He formally steps into the function on October 28, changing Shannon Jurkovic who moved to the Australian Retirement Trust in June after three-and-a-half years as Bendigo’s CISO.
“Gajan brings greater than twenty years of cyber safety, risk intelligence and technique experience and learnings to the financial institution,” a Bendigo and Adelaide spokesperson advised iTnews.
iTnews understands that ANZ intends to start recruiting for Ananthapavan’s substitute quickly.
Ananthapavan is the third know-how management appointment at Bendigo in two months.
In August, the financial institution’s CIO of over four-and-a-half years Andrew Cresp left, resulting in the promotion of Nathalie Moss as acting CIO, which has since been made everlasting.
A month later, Xavier Shay, the chief government of Bendigo’s neobank Up, was handed the additional title of chief digital officer, a newly created role.
The appointments come because the financial institution makes “important progress on its transformation program”, finishing up an intensive cloud migration in addition to funding in AI and new safety measures.
